"In this film Dr James Fox takes a journey across Britain to discover a special form of art that exists only out in landscape itself.
James will explore six different landscapes across the country - forest, field, coast, garden, path and sky – and encounter six artists that through their work offer insights into our deep relationship to the natural world.
From David Nash’s circle of ash trees hidden in a wood and Andy Goldsworthy’s beautiful ephemeral sculpture, to Julie Brook’s extraordinary fire stacks in the sea and James Turrell’s entrancing sky spaces, these artists aren’t interested in making things just to be seen in galleries or museums, instead they are out in landscape, creating extraordinary art both in and of the natural world.”
